Located in the heart of Beaverton, BG Plaza is a two-story office building constructed in the early 1970s. Process led programming and conceptual design for a renovation and potential expansion, including evaluation of a partial third-floor addition, enclosure of the existing plaza, and redesign of the interior office layout. The primary project goal was to reposition the building with amenities that attract contemporary tenants: coffee, food services, fitness, and an activated common areas.
Process began with a thorough programming exercise to document the existing layout and define the desired future program. We then developed conceptual design options that balanced investment against market opportunity. In November 2024, we delivered a comprehensive facilities assessment identifying deferred maintenance needs across the building, which informed a pricing report and provided the owner with a grounded understanding of costs and scope before committing to a construction path. These studies have helped the owner identify costs for fundraising activities.
