The Garden Home Residence reimagines a mid-1900s home into a bold, contemporary dwelling with quiet sophistication. In collaboration with Robert Templeton and Aubrey McCormick (formerly Blacksheep Design), Process led a complete interior and exterior transformation, modernizing the layout and aesthetics while preserving the integrity of the original structure.
The three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath residence now features a fully reconfigured floor plan designed for fluid movement and natural light. A custom stair tower with a private rear entry creates both functional separation and a striking architectural statement. Above, a newly vaulted roofline adds volume and openness to the upper level, bringing in generous daylight and expanding sightlines.
In the primary suite, a subtle yet impactful bathroom addition introduces natural light, transforming everyday routines into moments of calm. Throughout the home, layered textures and rich finishes lend depth and warmth, while the restrained palette allows dramatic architectural gestures to shine. The design balances function and beauty in equal measure, offering a refined interpretation of modern living rooted in timeless craftsmanship.
