Built as part of the 2017 Hillsboro School District bond, this project created a dedicated facility for the agricultural and design CTE programs. The building functions as a hands-on educational space where students gain practical experience in sustainable farming.
Two classrooms connect directly to the exterior, allowing learning to extend seamlessly into the adjacent farm. The project utilized a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) approach, enabling faster construction and more efficient use of the budget. Extensive programming sessions with teachers ensured the building met specific instructional needs for both indoor and outdoor learning activities, creating a living laboratory for sustainable agricultural education.
*Project designed and managed while at BLRB Architects.
