Process provided design services for the adaptive reuse of a former bank building into a new Qdoba restaurant on Main Street in Monmouth, Oregon. The 2,600 SF project focused on transforming an existing commercial structure into a functional restaurant space, while retaining the character and familiarity of the original building.
The scope included exterior and interior modifications to support the new tenant’s use, along with targeted building improvements that extended the life and performance of the existing structure. The parking lot was revised to improve site circulation and provide ADA-compliant access to the building. The existing roof membrane was replaced, and energy upgrades were incorporated at the roof assembly to improve overall building performance. In addition to architectural and site improvements, Process coordinated closely with the Polk County Health Department to support review and approval of the restaurant’s improvements.
The completed project reflects a practical and cost-conscious approach to adaptive reuse: preserving the value of the existing building, improving accessibility and performance, and supporting a new restaurant within Monmouth’s downtown commercial corridor.
